What are Community Councils?
Community Councils bridge the gap between local authorities and communities and help to make public bodies aware of the opinions and needs of the communities they represent.
The primary purpose of Community Councils is to ascertain and express the views of their community to the local authority and public bodies on local matters and local issues.
The Community Council may also get involved with environmental projects and organising community events.
The aim of Cowdenbeath Community Council is to use this website and our Facebook page as a means of cascading information on local matters and local issues which affect the residents of Cowdenbeath as well as ascertaining and expressing residents' views.
The next Community Council elections will be held in 2027
Community Council elections are held every 4 years
