Cowdenbeath Community Council's MICROGRANT SCHEME for Youth Development will run from 18th August to 14th September 2025.

 The 4 winds SCIO  has allocated funding to us to administer this MicroGrant Scheme for 2025 for young people who are resident within the Cowdenbeath Community Council boundary  

 The aim of the fund is to   provide support to young people (aged between 12-21)  in achieving  academic, sporting or other developmental goals

For example,

Ø  to support a young swimmer from the town representing Scotland at a UK tournament with equipment, travel costs or other reasonable expenses

Ø  to assist a dedicated young musician  who has already demonstrated significant progress in their musical development, by contributing towards essential musical costs. This may include funding for lessons, travel, the purchase of instruments or equipment and other related expenses.  

Ø  to support a young student to attend an academic workshop or conference that will broaden their educational horizons and foster personal development

A maximum of £350 is available for each award and decisions on successful applications will be made by Cowdenbeath Community Councillors
