A GIFT FROM ALAN STOTT

At last week's AGM, Cowdenbeath Community Council Chair - I. Burt - announced that over £30,000 from the funding left to the Community Council by former friend and community councillor Alan Stott will be allocated for several exciting initiatives:

- **Gala Wristbands:** Funding will support the Cowdenbeath Gala Events Group in helping to keep wristband costs low and affordable for the upcoming Gala on 26th July 2025.

- **Wooden Sculpture Trail:** We will expand the existing wooden sculpture trail around the town, adding to the three sculptures currently in place.

- **Awards for Local Schools:** Trophies and medals were purchased for the Active Fife Beath Cluster Schools competitions held on 15th and 29th May 2025

- **Christmas Lights:** This funding will ensure Cowdenbeath is beautifully lit up for Christmas this year.

- **Support for CACA:** this will allow children free entry for one month and support CACA's 50th anniversary celebrations later this year.

Alan loved his town, and we are confident he would wholeheartedly approve of these initiatives that bring our community together.
